G20 Protests - An unusual lunchtime walk.

My lunchtime walk today was certainly a little different to normal...

The G20 demonstrations were well underway as myself and a couple of co-workers (dressed down in order to 'blend in'...) headed over to the Climate Change camp on Bishopsgate.

As we arrived on the outskirts of the Climate Change camp the atmosphere was good. Lots of peaceful protesters, lots of Police and plenty of 'camouflaged' city workers.

Some guy decided it would be a good idea to make camp right in the middle of London Wall..

A couple of minutes after I took this photo, about 15 Policeman rushed this chap, picking his tent up (with him still inside) and throwing it onto the pavement into a group of bystanders. No real need for that. This changed the atmosphere instantly.

TheAtticMan decided to move on....

We headed North up Bishopsgate toward Liverpool Street Station. These 3 police vans sped past us at pace. They were headed toward the RBS branch on Threadneedle street that had recently been attacked.

Apparently they had been placed outside the RBS HQ, so we decided to see what was going on up there.

Where it was all nice and peaceful....
